Women's Programming at WingSpace

By Melanie Banayat

The 'Girls G.O.T. Prescott' women's business networking group is not your typical networking group. They focus on building relationships 'first'. Plus they actually make it easy to talk about the challenges and realities of being self-employed and running a business.  We take off the facade of "business is doing great" and instead give each other permission to say things like, "I'm struggling", I lost a big client this week", and "things at home are not well and I could use some support."

Regardless of whether you identify as an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert, women simply function better when they have deeper and more meaningful connections.

One of the many reasons that I wanted to open WingSpace was to have a home for entrepreneurial women who need and want the kind of support that only other like-minded women can offer.

As much as we would love our significant other to listen to our latest marketing campaign, our sharing is often met with blank stares or "can we talk about something else tonight?"

WingSpace is planning to develop an ongoing lineup of women focused programming that will be nourishing, inspiring, educational and supportive for those who are embarking on their own business ventures. There's no need to feel alone, and no need to feel like you have to be someone you're not. We're all about helping you reach your dreams and not losing who you are in the process.
